About the role
We are looking for talented people to help us design, optimize and maintain our state-of-the-art AI poker engine. As an Applied Machine Learning Scientist in the engine team, you’ll have a key role in building and optimizing the training and inference performance of our deep learning models served in production to our thousands of users. You will also be implementing state-of-the-art algorithms and actively collaborating with other team members to find novel approaches to optimize our machine learning pipeline. A strong theoretical background in machine learning and algorithms is essential, and a passion for poker is a big plus. If you are passionate about pushing beyond the state-of-the-art and solving complex problems this role is for you.
In this role you will:
Optimize the training and inference performance of our deep learning models
Continuously oversee the performance of models in production and develop monitoring tools to gain deeper insights into areas for model performance enhancement
Reduce the training and inference time of our neural networks
Drive projects and lead new initiatives in MLOps

What you bring to GTO Wizard:
PhD degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Applied research experience with a successful track record of delivering quality results
Extensive expertise in machine learning, with in-depth, hands-on experience in reinforcement learning or game theory
Exceptional communication, cross discipline collaboration and leadership skills
Passion for games and how intelligent systems can teach humans problem solving skills
